I HATE MAC COSMETICS.

you dont have to share my sentiments but if you do #eHighFive! lol.

WARNING: I'm about to go of on a tangent...

*Mac is definitely not for everyone and then i got to thinkin... its actually not for anyone! unless you just gotta have the MAC forcefield on your face. Case and Point

1. MAC is not breathable... its formula is too cakey... therefore Foundation and Concealers etc etc are TRASH!

2. I despise MAC

3. I abhorr MAC lol.

4. Their eye makeup is decent, lipwear is doable but nothing more!

Ive chit chatted with several highend makeup artists and they say "MAC makeup artists are awesome artists working with a terrible product" and "MAC is best ONLY when used for professional photography since it is so heavy"

Basically walkin around everyday with MAC on your face makes you look Silly and mama aint raise no fool. lol

After 2 years of tryna make it work i finally decided it wasnt worth the money. sooo i switched to Bobbi Brown.... This lady is a genius.. she has a couple makeup books out also for better techniques. This formula just works especially if you are a delicious Hershey chocolate tone like me. Dark Luscious skin like mine is not to be toyed with... you really have to know how to work with it. I get so many compliments on my skin when i use Bobbi Brown makeup because its pretty much the STUFF.

So dont fall into the mindset that MAC is the only option. There is a world of colors out there, all of them probably better quality than MAC.

Innovation Renovation

WHOAA... it has been entirely too long since my last post. I was busy living my other non digital life. Kinda neglected my blog. Kinda missed blogging. Guess ill be more diligent this time around.

Conspiracy Theories... "High Brow WOW!"

So I have this theory about Eyebrows. I think that when we find someone attractive, there is a facial focal point that draws us to them whether we realize it or not. Some people are more partial to lips and cheek bones and noses and eyes compared to others but I think Eyebrows are ultimately what makes people attractive. This might sound stupid but id wanna be bestfriends with a total stranger solely on the basis of how awesome their eyebrows are. lol.

I absolutely love this colored brow trend...Its futuristic and striking. Im kinda apprehensive of how it would look on me but im excited to see how the bright colors would contrast with my skin tone. lol

Runway Eyebrows... not a day to day look but definitely a focal point.

Beyonce has awesome eyebrows therefore she is pretty.

Kim Kardashian has awesome eyebrows therefore she is pretty.

Megan Fox has amazing eyebrows therefore she is pretty.

Tyra Banks... is a great human being therefore she is pretty! :P

...so you see my theory is practically fool proof. :P

This Lady is Legendary. I mean everybody from Lady Gaga to Rihanna to Amber Rose channels inspiration from her. She is androgynous which makes her appearance so one of a kind. She's not the conventional idea of Beauty and that is why I admire her. When I think of her I think Fearless and Unforgiving.... then I think of the movie Boomerang and "Strange' , it stinks so good" comes to mind... all which validate that only Grace Jones can be Grace Jones!

Back in the day I was super Bohemian. My overall style has mutated since then so im something like a Bohemian-Hybrid but Im still down for the cause. Needless to say, I can switch up the stilettos and power suits for some Jesus-Walks joints and a Dashiki real smooth like. I guess its the Nigerian in me... Either way Im really feelin turbans and head wraps right now! Imma get my scarf game right then #ShaPow... BoHo fever!

... If you're around me long enough, you'll come to find out that im not what you initially thought of me. I always get a kick out of hearing peoples first impressions of me... Common misconceptions that are true: Im nice, mean, proper, sadity. Truth is, im all this and so much more. Im like a potluck dinner so to speak. Anywho my greatest past-time is laughing. Back in the days, moms used to put hella red lipstick on me and I hated it. I especially hated it when she paired it with the poofy dress with all the extra everything. I hated it with all 60 lbs of me and would get to fussing, throwin tantrums and rippin at stuff! But back then I was a boy. lol. I never thought id be a "Girly-Girl" but i guess time changes everything... Nowadays, I love Pink Lipstick and its all I wear! Ill get adventurous and try some reds, mauves, and browns soon enough tho. ;)

MY STYLE:

I cant and wont pinpoint my style. Its always evolving and never stagnant. I draw inspiration for my looks from mainstream media and fashion icons, and the regular Joe Shmoes and Jane Does. I don’t shop for outfits. I keep a mental inventory of my closet so I shop for specific articles and random things that catch my eye. Most of my pieces are a couple months old before I actually wear them. I let them marinate in my closet until I harvest them to created a medley of style. Some pieces ripen faster than others, but they always turn out sweet and full of character!
